This journal for strategic analyses (SIRIUS) is an attempt to present contributions from academia that can provide valuable impetus for the political debate in Germany, but also in the wider German-speaking world (especially Switzerland and Austria). It sees itself as an attempt to make the world of foreign and security policy think tanks and research institutes fruitful for this debate. It concentrates primarily on one branch of science - that of strategic studies. The editors are the Chairman of the Foundation for Science and Democracy and Director of the Institute for Security Policy, Prof. Dr Joachim Krause; the President of the Federal Academy for Security Policy, Dr Karl-Heinz Kamp; Professor Dr Carlo Masala from the University of the Federal Armed Forces in Munich and Prof. Dr Andreas Wenger from the CSS of the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich.
