Today located opposite the Schwedenkai, the building used to be located directly on the Kiel Fjord and can look back on an eventful history, including as a theatre or horse stable on one of the upper floors. As one of the few buildings that survived the air raids on Kiel during the Second World War, it will continue to characterise Kiel's cityscape as an essential part of the SW&D in the future.
