Prof. Dr Christian Martin has been Professor of Political Science at the Institute of Social Sciences in the Department of Political Science at the Christian-Albrechts-Universität zu Kiel. He currently holds the Max Weber Chair for German and European Studies at the Centre for European and Mediterranean Studies at the New York University in New York (USA).

His thematic focuses are Comparative political science, globalisation and Interdependence and Electoral and party research.
