Kirsten Richter

Kirsten Richter supports the Science and Democracy Foundation as a communications officer. After completing her dual training as a photographer, she studied communication science, specialising in psychology and the economics of public communication as well as public sociology at Friedrich Schiller University (FSU) Jena.

After completing her Master's degree (M.A.) in Public Communication (2017), she worked as a research assistant at the Institute of Communication Science at the FSU Jena in the project "ViDem" (Living Diversity Together - Learning Democracy Together).

She has been working in Kiel since 2020 and initially worked at Flüchtlingsrat Schleswig-Holstein e. V. in the coordination of the Schleswig-Holstein state network of the nationwide funding programme "Integration through Qualification (IQ)" as a project employee for public relations.
