Tanja Thomsen has been an editor at the Portal for Political Science since 2022.
After your After completing her 1st state examination in law, she studied political science and German literature and language in Kiel. At the same time, she worked for several years as an assistant to the management in a management consultancy on projects for personnel consulting and development and was part of the organisation team for the 23rd German Language and Literature Conference at the Christian-Albrechts-Universität zu Kiel in 2013. Since 2016, she has been responsible for setting up and managing the specialised library of the Foundation for Science and Democracy in Kiel and its facilities and funding projects. After completing her Master's degree, she worked as a case manager in the social administration in Kiel since 2019, where she was also involved in the development of the state capital's municipal social space orientation as a member of the social space team. Her main areas of expertise are social science narrative research, securitisation and populism. She is also interested in disruption research, digitalisation and political storytelling in the post-Soviet space.
