After seven years of intensive construction and renovation work, SW&D and its largest cooperation partner, the Institute for Security Policy at Kiel University (ISPK), celebrated the inauguration of their new headquarters at Wall 40 on 27 August - right in the heart of Kiel on the fjord.
After welcoming speeches by the Chairwomen of the SW&D Management Board, the ISPK Board of Directors and the First Vice President of the State Parliament, Eka von Kalben The guests were given the opportunity to familiarise themselves with the new building, including the offices and the newly created event room, at the subsequent reception with refreshments.
The new building not only offers modern office space for the foundation and the ISPK, but also a spacious event room that will serve as a place for dialogue on key issues of democracy and peace in the future. This location will create a space in which political science can fulfil its role as a partner of democracy.
SW&D would like to thank all the guests and supporters who shared this special moment with us and look forward to the many exciting projects and events that will be realised here in the future.
