New façade for Wall 40 in Kiel
Before the interior work for the new headquarters of the Foundation for Science and Democracy can begin, Wall 40 will be given a new façade.
From April 2023, the existing outer wall of Wall 40 overlooking Schwedenkai will be renewed. The existing exterior wall will be demolished at the beginning of April and a soundproof wall will be erected at building height in order to minimise noise pollution.
The work is necessary so that the façade can soon shine in new splendour as planned. Even if it doesn't look like another step towards completion for the time being, things are still moving forward and the foundation and all employees are very much looking forward to the Wall 40 construction site making great progress that will soon be visible from the outside.
The Science and Democracy Foundation opposite Schwedenkai will thus become an integral part of the cityscape and, with its future programmes, also of city life in our state capital Kiel.
