Dr Sarah Kirchberger will be the new Academic Director of the Institute for Security Policy at Kiel University (ISPK) from 1 July 2023.
The ISPK announced at today's handover ceremony that the previous Head of the ISPK Department "Strategic Development in Asia-Pacific", Dr Sarah Kirchberger, will also be Academic Director of the ISPK from 1 July 2023. She will take over this position from Prof Dr Joachim Krause and, together with Managing Director Dr Stefan Hansen, will form the new dual leadership of the ISPK. Prof Dr Joachim Krause will continue to work closely with SW&D on the Foundation's Board of Directors and in the context of the journal SIRIUS and will continue to support the ISPK with his expertise as Director Emeritus. His "marching orders" during the founding and development of the ISPK have significantly shaped the institute.
