Start of the new blog series "The right of democratic decision-making"!
The first blog symposium on the topic of "party conferences"emphasises the special role of party conferences in the law of democratic decision-making. For around a week, new contributions by authors from the fields of law and political science will be made available for public discussion on a daily basis. Aspects such as the actual significance of party conferences in times of digitalisation and member decisions as well as the question of which legal requirements new formats of internal party democracy must meet will be examined.
The debate is introduced with the contribution "The other heart chambers of democracy" by Sophie Schönberger and many more ideas will follow in the next few days.
